I have a 2002 ZL600 SS. I took into the dealer for its annual checkup and asked for them to check out the Smart Suspension to see is all of ok. They told me that all that they can check for is power to the rear suspension. My question is how can it be that an electroinic suspension with processssors for each shock be measured only by testing if power is being delivered to the unit? Does this sound right to you? Any technical help would be appreciated.

the problem i've found with the dealers i've talked with is that both of them really didn't know anything about the smart ride suspension, not enough training on the subject....i don't know.

Isn't that shock rebuildable? If it is, fresh oil would make a world of differnce.

Hey 2Wheels....pretty ironic you mention this, it sounds like you are working with a car dealer. LOL If I were you, I would do a little research on it yourself. There has to be tech notes from a snomo mag or I would think that there is even something in the owners manual. Check it out!
