I should also mention that the fastest way to destroy both your studs and your track is seeing how much track spin you can develop when you cross the bare pavement at a road crossing. Limits on your throttle thumb add lots of life to your track. A track gets damaged when it's spinning and contacts something.
If you are in the ditch, upside down, and the sled's on top of you, you are doing something wrong.....
