Formula 600 crank bearings

Postby Slater » February 3rd, 2003, 11:42 am

I'm thinking of rebuilding my '96 Doo Formula 600 triple as another thread has made me nervous not to. Does the crank have to be sent in to be fully serviced (all bearings changed) on this sled?

Also, if I do decide to take this on, does anyone have pictures/diagrams of the hole that needs to be drilled inside the case to get oil to the outer crank bearings?

Thanks,

Dave.

Come on, there was a thread a while back with 60 something replies related to this. Someone must have more info on crank servicing and drilling that oil hole for the outer bearings.

Any help is appreciated.

Sorry,
All I did was strip my engine down and brought it into the dealer. All I let them do was split the case, drill the hole and put the crank back in.
Easier that way....
Let 'er RIP!!

What did you ever do to fix properly? I recently had a similar problem with my 97 F3-600. Appreciate your help,
