I got a 2004 F7 EFI snopro. I took it to a grass drag and after a couple of runs something started to slip when I would come out of the hole, I mean BAD! It is properly studded (153). Track is not too loose, if anything it was tight. I loosened it and it still did it. Thought maybe it was the chaincase but the dealer checked it out and it was ok. They think the drive cogs are slipping on the track, but don't know why. Has anyone heard of this and what to do? The dealer is calling Arctic Cat factory.

Maybe you heated your belt up too much and it was slippin - that is strange though. If not the track and not the chaincase, next move is the clutches and belt.

It isn't the belt. We checked that. Hopefully we will find it. Thanks-

Is it bad to run your sled on grass? I have the temptation, but havent done it yet. I would assume there is more friction on the skis, which would in turn decrease speed. Not something I would try just yet, maybe someday if someone convinces me its not negative. Thoughts.

Usually if the belt slips you see a puff of smoke from under the hood when racing on grass.
