Is it a srx or vmax 700? I do know that the 98 SRX had track issues and the cranks twisted. There was a recall if I remember correctly. Contact a Yammi dealer to find out if it was done.

The only real issue with the v max 700 and I don't know about the 98's but the 97's had stator issues. The tracks were not the best especially if studded.

Have Fun!

I have the '98 SRX and it was recalled for crank issues. Entire motor was gone through @ 3000 miles and brought back into spec N/C(I know the dealer). No matter what, those tracks suck tons. I think they are .71" or something! Made for lake speed, thats it and also a bad composite IMO. I'll probably change mine out to a 1" Camoplast Predator next season. Other than that it has Goodwin clutch work & quick transfer rods(and a great tuner, not me)it rocks my world. Triple / triple baby.

Here is a good way to make that thing rock. If your elevation is 0-2500' run main jets at 142.5 straight across. Drop needles 1/2. Remove 1 layer from the 3 layer thick head gasket. Run a 51/43 helix . Increase the rivet size in the primary weights to a 3.6 gram inner & a 3.1 gram outer. Drop 1 tooth top gear from a 23 to a 22. You will have fun. Make sure centre to centre & alignment is right on with your clutches. You WILL surprise many, many sleds!!!!

I have a '01 Triple and she is awesome. She will tear up the trails. Nothing like riding a Yamaha!

Cool name by the way :)
