Here in Minocqua, I would guess that there is maybe 8" on the ground now, and it is still snowing hard. I am hoping for 10" by the time it stops snowing. The only problem is that the trails can not open until the 15th of December because of Muzzleloader hunting. Hopefully the groomers can get out before people destroy what we do have. It finally looks like winter in Wisconsin!

In Western Mass we got 18 inches over the weekend. It was on top of 3 inches of base. The riding was pretty good, but we're going to get an inch of rain and 40 degrees tomorrow....so that'll hurt.

I read that the trails cannot officially open in Northern Wisconsin until the 15th, but what they do all is for you to ride at your own risk. I don't know about you, but that is good enough for me. Wish I had a few days off!

Here in Idaho (where we ride at least) we got anywhere from 24-50 inches. Gonna go tear some up this weekend.

Hey Aerobat,

I talked to the DNR office in Woodruff today, and they said it is on a county by county basis, but in this area they said Dec. 15. I heard it was because of the hunting season. The other problem is that the lakes are not safe yet, and many trails are on the lakes, so that might be a problem.
