Cleaning the Cat?

What do you guys/ladies use to clean the black **** off of the Arctic Cat green. I seem to be stumped as to solutions to this problem.

Cleaning the Cat?

Postby 02zr800carb » January 13th, 2004, 6:00 am

I use Goo Gone it is for removing sticky stuff left behind by stickers, but it is labeled as all purpose cleaner and grease cutting. It seems to work good for me. I have also read on another message board that there is some spray called Spray 9 that works good for removing the black exhaust stain on the belly pan. I have no idea where you get it, but I think you can find Goo Gone and probably grocery stores, or hardware stores, or something like Target, Shopko,WalMart etc. Hope this helps!

If you have any racing fuel around that works great too just test it first to make sure it dosen't eat the plastic. Used to use it to get the rubber of a racecar and it didn't seem to bother the plastic nose piece.

Cleaning the Cat?

Fast Orange hand cleaner is the best product I've used so far. Better than simple green, better than solvents, better than every other thing you can think of I've used. I work for an environmental clean up company so I have access to all kinds of industrial cleaners and such. Fast Orange is the ticket. Also cleans the grout real good in my kitchen.

Titeclouroeythelene-LoL! Great solvent if you can find it, but where rubber gloves cause it removes skin too! Ouch, oh yeah, its a carcinogen also so don't rub it in or breathe the vapors to long. Seriously though, orange pumice hand cleaner works well as do most spray grease emulsifiers.
