#1 1972 Mercury Hurricane 644(laydown twin) Mark II......Talk about a machine ahead of its time!! Dad bought it new, rode it a few years and let it sit, I got her going in 83 when I was 8.

#2 1985 Ski Doo Citation 250(new). Fun little sled for a 10 year old

#3 1976 Arctic Cat Cheetah 5000(used). Fast sled! Traded a Go cart I built for that one. I think that was in 1987

#4 1981 Arctic Cat Pantera 440(used). Ran that one from 89 to 90.

Quit snowmobiling for 10 years, Raced alot of motocross and wasted my winters Skiing(what was I thinking)

#5 1999 ZR600 EFI(used). Bought in 2000, Awesome sled, beat the s**t out of it and it took it well. Put 2000 Miles on it.

#6 2001 ZR800 LE(new). Needed to beef up the suspension for my style of riding, but it was bullitproof for 3200 miles in one year.

#7 2002 ZR800 CC Carb(new). Again needed beefier suspension but was otherwise flawless for 2000 hard miles lastyear. Riding this one again this season.

Your OWN sled History

Postby BigDXLT » September 30th, 2002, 5:54 pm

First sled was a Bravo. After putting it through hell and back, moved on to an Indylite 340 at 11. Got my XLT for my 15th birthday. Wow, I've only had it 5 years now... :p
Rode my Dad's Indy Trail Deluxe off and on over the years. (Before the XLT I thought it was pretty hot... despite the two up seat it went like stink, beat phazers regularly!)

Next sled... 2006 RMK something hopefully!

Your OWN sled History

Postby Skidoo_Newf » October 1st, 2002, 12:41 am

Well lets see,

The first sled I ever rode was an old Ski-Doo Citation.....I think. I was between 2-3 years old at the time so my memory is a little hazy. lol It was always refered to as the "15" because it was supposed to be a 15 horsepower. Don't know the year, probably early 70's

From then it went like this:
80 or 81 Ski-Doo Citation 4500 (brother sled)
89 Ski-Doo Tundra (The first sled that was really mine)
93 Ski-Doo Grand Touring 583(Ski-Doo's first year with the Grand Touring platform I believe.)
2000 Ski-Doo Grand Touring SE 800 cc Triple

So as you can see I am truly a SKIDOO_NEWF! LOL
