bbartels, I can assure you that Chevy owners are not wusses or yuppie's. I think the Avalanche is a yuppie mobile and ugly as sin but if you think for one second that we are wuss's then I beg you to put your truck where your mouth is. I will out perform your whatever hands down in any contest.

ZR800Racer, I will agree with you on that one, the avalanche front on the silverodos are what made me keep my 99 2500.

Chevy's new Avalanche!

If the Avalanche is so good, why don't they have one in the GMC lineup? I already have a '99 GMC Suburban so the Avalanche wouldn't be any major difference in ride and I would actually lose my inside cargo area.

FYI: I am not tring to knock GM here, since I do own one but the concept of the Avalance it not anything new. International Harvester made that same configuration over 30 years ago but the consumers were just not ready for it yet, and maybe still not judging from how few of them I see on the road. It's a specialized vehicle that will only fit the needs of certain people.

Personally I don't care for the plastic ware either and would rather have a truck than a yuppie mobile. My GMC Suburban is fairly plain, no two-tone paint and I use it to pull my sled trailer and my car trailer.

Did you ever notice how some people make sh*ty choice after Sh*ty choice. For Example look at Mainecat, Dirves a Ford turd and a Artic TURD. Need I say more.

Keep an eye on the right rear brake pads, I hear these so called chevy trucks have been eating the pads off of one wheel.
