I hear what many of you are saying about offroaders only getting support from republicans and bush, but consider this. When we've got our brothers and sisters dieing everyday in a war we should have never been in in iraq, Bush is spending his energy talking about constitutional amendments to ban gay marriage, steroids in baseball and spending billions to return to the moon and get to mars. Meanwhile my kids are being hung with an unbelievable debt while rich dudes get tax cuts.

Worse than the debt though is the horrible world bushs policies are leaving to our kids. Never has more of the world hated America than they do now. We are the evil empire to more people than ever before due to bush policies and that makes us a bigger target for terrorist attacks than anything pre 9/11. We had the sympathy of the world following 9/11 and a chance to make some real changes in the world. Attacking the terror structure in Afghanistan was right. Attacking iraq to settle an old bush score based on drummed up charges, then having no strategy to get our soldier out of there is dead wrong.

We may lose snowmobiling in yellowstone if we change administrations, but if we don't get rid of bush we send a signal to the world that the policies we're following are not ok with the American people. The ability to ride in yellowstone will seem pretty empty if/when a dirty bomb goes off in a metro area and kills thousands, don't you think?I want my kids to be able to ride in yellowstone to but I also waant my kids to live in a safe strong and respected country not a country with a trigger happy president, a horrible economy and is hated and targeted by the whole world.

XCSPChic. Your response is why I said several times that I was NOT trying to argue with you, but just trying to get you to look at the other side in an open-minded way. Don't quit coming here just because of this.

What I was really hoping to get out of this was your side, and your reasoning of feeling the way you do. Every time I've tried to talk to someone on the other side of this subject and get their views, I've always gotten this same response, almost exactly! They always tell me they have more imortant things to worry about, and never defend their thoughs/beliefs. All that I am left with then is thinking that they simply cannot defend their beliefs, or back them up with any kind of logic or statistic. Is that the case?? Please shed some light on this, as I have asked dozens of people with your beliefs the same questions, and NONE have given me any answers as to why/how they think the way they do.

Williams, even your Democrats had said that we needed to go to war. Bush can't just send us to war, he has to have approval by the house and senate first. The president of the USA has very little power when it comes down to it, everything he does has to be approved by hundreds of others.

you think that we would just lose Yellowstone?? the only place you would be able to ride ever again would be your own yard. And the democrats will try taking that away too. This bad economy didn't start with Bush, it started while Clinton was still in power. I was working in the automotive industry and we felt it before alot of others. Our whole company was cutting before Bush came into power. Bush gave me money back, and I am no where near rich. All these countries that hate us are France and Canada (their political systems mostly). Its not just us fighting in Iraq, there are several other countries over there with us. And now we have countries calling on us for help to bring our forces to their countries. I'm proud to support Bush!!

For those who think this country would be better run by the democrats, look at Michigan. We are losing our State Police, 50% set to retire or have retired in the next 5 years and they will only replace them at a rate of 1 new trooper for every 4 that retire. Hiring freeze on the rest of the state, only positions that MUST be filled will be filled, internally though. Granholm (D) is cutting funds to every part of the state, even blocking protected funds. She vetod a bill allowing 2.3 million from the snowmobile trail funds from being spent. She may not be able to get her hands on it, but she will make it so no one can. She only agreed not to touch the protected funds only after every recreational group that was supported off of those funds got together and threatened to sue anyone who tried to take them.

So anybody who is a dem is lazy??? Geez, you sound like talk radio junkie, believing the******they spew as gospel truth.
I agree on some of what you are saying on Granholm, but lets not forget that boob Engler who never met a tax he didn't like. The problem in MI didn't just happen overnite since Granholm won. This has been building for a decade at least.
I work in manufacturing, plastic injection molding firm for the office furniture industry, Steelcase being our biggest customer. Unless you've been living in a cave since 2000, you gotta know it sucks in West Michigan, from a mfg standpoint.
Somebody posted on here earlier that nobody gets a job from a poor person, that's true, but I also have seen people lose jobs from rich people, who move their work overseas, to be more profitable, which, with a tax cut, puts more money in their corporate pocket. Where is that helping the avg. out of work guy in MI? Where are all the new jobs they should be creating with the extra money? There in China, Mexico or any other place where you can find dolts who'll work 15 hour days for 2 bucks a day with no benefits.
Damn, I hate to say it but Ross Poirot was right, that giant sucking sound was/is work leaving the country. Yeah blame Clinton for NAFTA, but remember that Bush the 41st was also pushing for it. Tax cuts are great, but lets have some incentives to keep the work in the US, it has taken West Mich. fruit growers 8 years to finally meet the demands to ship apples to Mexico under NAFTA rules, Mexico will ship as soon as she wants to. Brazil was flooding our market with oranges for years long before NAFTA was even wink in somebody's eye. We suffer from corporate greed in this country, and the common worker pays the price.
The candidate who dares address those issues, will get my vote.
