Stop bashing the Polaris they came up with some industry first.

Like slide rail suspension.Wait no that was cat.

Extra travel tunnel. Nope cat again.

Battery less EFI. darn cat again

A really fast new Four Stroke. bummer that was Yamaha

A Platform for easy riding. ******that was ski-doo

I'm sure they were the first to go to A- arms the best front suspension period. wait no in 2004 they still had stump catchers..

Them must have been first for plastic ski's. oh man that was cat again.

I know they were that last company to go to A-arms .. Well they finely switched that made that means some day they will be the first for something.

First to use CVT clutch system
First to use coupled skid setup
First to use EFI
First to use T-arms
First with a 800 twin
First to use radiator for added cooling in low snow conditions
First Mtn sled
First with hollow reinforced drive axle to delete flexing
First to tilt motor to allow for lower CG
First with using TEAM roller
First to use 5 gal tank on race sleds
First to use a timing switch (ignition)
and as Uller noted... first tilt steering

I got to laugh at you guys arguing about wich manufacture built what first. The FACT IS NONE OF THEM WERE FIRST WITH THE THINGS YOUR TALKING ABOUT. Except for the forward riding posistion almost EVERYTHING you have talked about has been done first by independent race teams and performance shops through out the 80's. Then copied and adopted to consumer sleds.

Hey Xtreme XC I geuss you never heard of the king cat? Ya Cat had a 800 back in the seventies!!Nice try though.I think your wrong about the tilted and lowered engines,I wouldn't be real proud of the team clutch,or the fact that they didn't have adequte coolling, so they ran radatiors,BTW Cat ran radatiors on some of the race sleds in the seventies,oh ya there efi on the rxl was junk! Other than that Polaris rules!! NOT
