I couldn't get my daughter Jenny to get up this morning (Tried at 6:45, 7, and 7:15...... at which point I gave up) --- Soooo she finally gets with the program at like 7:20, is all in a frenzy to get to school, jams into my room momentarily for lunch money and a peck on the cheek goodbye, and she's gone....... and then about 10 minutes later the phone rings..........."Daddy????????..............." Just the sound in her voice gave me a chill right there and then. She wadded "The Hotness" (her extended cab Ranger). I flew down the road (I think I broke every law of safe driving and a few laws of physics to boot) and was scared to death at what I saw when I got there. She ran off onto the shoulder, got a little high-centered on the crown of the ditch alongside the road( PenDOT just cleaned them out a couple weeks ago), and then hit a 5' culvert, which launched the truck 20 feet out into the road (SIDEWAYS!!!!). She continued on about 40 or 50 feet, nosed it into the ditch on the other side of the road, and then it rolled onto it's side.... The black marks on the road look like a NASCAR race. Long story short, I spent a big part of the day getting her X-rayed and examined, nothing broken thank God, but she's just sore as he!!. On the way home from getting her checked out, She wanted to go back and look at it all. YIKES. Looking it over hours later gave me the chills all over again, but the day could have had a considerably different outcome. The truck is junk, but my kid's OK, maybe a little wiser. I'm betting it'll be easier to get her around in the morning now. I think I'm gonna make her ride the bus a couple days just to make sure she gets the point....Guess it's time to look for a new ride... Hey Land Warrior, can you get me a line on a surplus M-1 ??????????? I don't really need any more gray hairs just yet...........

First you, and now the kid. Does this driving problem run in the family?

All kidding aside, glad to hear she's o.k. Ed.
