I've got a friend who just got a new RX-1....that can't beat the 900 in 800 feet can it? Prolly top speed but I don't really know for sure...

It depends on whether or not the parts flying from the Cat actually hit the Yamaha.

ZR 900's are actually pretty soild smack. Zr chassis is one of the best chassis ever built.

You should be able to beat him easily as long as you hook up. At the 880 ft radar runs, rx-1s were getting a speed of 72. Zr 900's around 75-78

900CC 2 STROKE BETTER SPANK A 100CC 4 STROKE. If you can't that's sad. In the racing world that 900cc 2S would run with 1600cc 4S.

Sounds like it will be even closer this year with the addional loss of weight and added power. However, the ZR9 should take it.

78 mph at 800+ feet is slow though for a 7, 8 or 9.
Recently I was asked to play in a golf tournament.

At first I said, "Naw, I haven't been playing that well."

Then they said to me, "Come on, it's for handicapped and blind kids."

Then I thought...

I agree .... that's a slow time for 800 feet. That's probably a 500 foot time.

The track was really sloppy. Top Speed was only 85 mph of the whole event. My mod got average of 82.5 mph. My top was 84 mph.

It really shouldn't. If it does, the 9 isnt' running right. If from a standing start, on snow, who knows? I don't know how the new monoshock hooks up, and if on snow, the 900 can dig quite a trench..so...??

the 900 will get it off the start but once you get over 1000 feet the rx-1 will catch you and go by you.
