Simons CPR turbocharged RX1 went 7.97 @ 170 MPH new records for a sled.
Kens will be right there with some minor tweeks.
A picture is worth a thousand words.

Haha - I could probably keep it within 50 lengths!

That is amazing though - they will be running in Brainerd in October - cooler weather and all - maybe a good chance to break that record again.
Recently I was asked to play in a golf tournament.

At first I said, "Naw, I haven't been playing that well."

Then they said to me, "Come on, it's for handicapped and blind kids."

Then I thought...

Chit, I could win this!

Just got back from Martin, didn't see the 7.97 run but saw it run a couple time and talked with Jeff at CPR. The 2 time it ran when I was there it was popping bad out of the hole and ran a 8.78 and the second time did some lean popping the first 1/4 of the track and the last 1/4 of the track and still ran a 8.40 at 167... still very impressive despite not running like it should. Here's some picks of the sled. Jeff said sled is for sale for $50k LOL! But would build a identical turn key motor for $15k, all you need is a chassis.

Has this guy looked at the piston tops and spark plugs since making a run with all that popping goin on??? I know when my kids race cars are doing it while running down the strip, they have to shut the NOS off, or it'll knock hell out of both. Requires the right timing and a dam high octane gas to run that chitt.

extremexc,do you know if he was at mid michigan a few weeks back? maybe doin some testing, my father in law was there, and an trex was there doin some testing, he said the guy made one pass 8.30 sumthin or other at 167mph. the track official then proceeded to ask him to kindly pack up his sled and leave. it seems that they are not prepared to scrape him off the asphalt if he augers it in at that speed.lmao
Shut up bich!!
