What do you guys think of Oldsmobile Aurora's?? Are they worthwhile cars?...What about the 3.5L engine, is it strong like the old 3.8 SC? I'm looking at a few '00,'01.

The 3.5 litre is a smaller displacement of the Cadillac Northstar engine. Here's a little secret. Oldsmobile engineered the Northstar engine. GM didn't want it in anything less than a Cadillac so Cadillac got it. Its not a bad car, but Oldsmobile has somewhat of a geezermobile image.

Smack, that's the exact car my employee has that has that goofy security issue.

Or is that an Alero?

Alero is the Olds Grand Am. Security problem is probably a door switch issue.

After the accident I just don't feel safe in 4 Banger economy car. This Olds is sweet, at least I thought so. The inside felt like a Lexus in comparison to a Taurus. Dealer says the 3.5 has a range of about 350 miles. I looked at an Alero as mentioned...nice car, but a grand-am se in disquise.
