Time to drag out the dirtbike

Postby ZR800Racer » January 16th, 2006, 3:44 am

Guys down south get alot more riding time than us half timers. There are fast guys everywhere though. Couple New Yorkers that I race with are on the Team Motosport Honda. Paul Carpenter #35 and Robert Kinery #53. Paul finished sixth at Anahiem 1 in the 125 class. I think Robert is racing the east coast rounds.

Time to drag out the dirtbike

Yeah thats true. Biggest AMA sanctioned event ive been to was either Red Bud or Log Road. Both are tough tracks, somewhat short though. Log road has a nasty lookin triple but isnt all that bad. I think toughest track ive ever ridden would be Baja in Birch Run... the have an up-hill double double... now that thing is wicked

Unadilla is the toughest I've been on. That track gets narly! I raced the amateur race on the Friday before the pros about three years in a row. Since then they made a new track for the ams, not the same. I just go to watch. Broome Tioga is one of our dist. tracks, I havent been there in a while but its pretty sweet racing on the national tracks.

Time to drag out the dirtbike

If I had one of those bikes I'd be jettin' around town like mad. Looks like fun(trouble).
I'd end up with a broke spleen, 1 functional lung and a busted wrist by nightfall.
Had a '76'ish Yamaha DT400 2stroker. Wicked fast. Sold it along with some hand guns & exposives I had lying around.
That's why I ride a pig now, too slow to get outa it's own way.

Your bike looks pretty sweet Riggs. I'm not crazy about street bikes, too many idiots in cars running them down. I like flying through the air on a closed course. I head down to Daytona for Bike Week every year. Some sweet bike there! I'll be heading there first week in March.
