This course woulda sent you packin after the first 11 1/2 mile lap....they shoulda named it the "Grinder"....Great action....this was'nt a long run for any class.....the USCC 500 is in a couple wks...I'm sure they'll have to tame that course a tad to allow some to finish

PJMach....feel free ta use that next yr..." The Galaxie Grinder 100 "....lol

No...like I said short races allowed finishin.....a longer race on that setup woulda took it's toll....this kinda racin was all action no matter what part of the course you spectated although there was a couple very short places for the riders to catch their breath

17 Pro riders started the race. 10 times around a 10.5 mile course. Only 7 sleds finished, with only 3 on the lead lap. Eric Slominski (Polaris) won the Pro Open and was leading the Pro stock race early until his hood came loose. He had to stop in the pits for some tarp straps and lost over a minute. Bryan Dyrdahl (Doo), Gabe Bunke (Pol) and Corey Davidson (Yam) along with Slominski and Brian Dick (Cat) were all within 15 seconds of each other at the 50 mile mark. Dick and Josh Davis ran out of fuel and Bunke broke something in the drive train so they were out. That left Dyrdahl, Davidson and Slominski in the top 3. Starting the last lap, Dyrdahl (riding since the end of lap 7 with a collapsed rear suspension) had a one minute lead. However, for the third time in three races, he had late race trouble while having the race in hand and didn't finish (he also ran out of fuel). That left Davidson in the lead with Slominski trying to make up the time he lost with the unscheduled pit stop. He couldn't do it and Davidson won the race.

Here are the pro results from the Galaxie Grinder 100:

(Before our friend to the north complains about the avg MPH being under 60, remember that these guys had to come to a complete stop for 50 stop signs over the course of the race and that both Slominski and Davidson fueled twice).

1. Davidson YAM 1:57:38
2. Slominski POL 1:57:54
3. Koch CAT 2:06:21
4. Winter CAT

50 stop signs? WOW! Still pretty decent average for that.
