I just was reading a mag and in it it mentions that polardog is putting electic reverse in some sleds.Yes the same rev as doo.I understand that it was to settle a suit by polaris. My thought is that how soon are we going to see a ski-catlarismaha.I can see an advantage for the other manufacturers but what about the ski-doo faithful. ha ha ha ha.
I'm not fast, your just slow.

It wasn't so much a settlment as it was just swapping technology. Ski Doo used some suspension idea's from Polaris and Polaris agreed to swap and use the RER from Doo. Although the RER is only available on the 600 Classic. Wish they had it available for the XC models, I would've gotten reverse then.

Hey Xtreme, Polaris had electronic reverse available on snow check sleds. You could only get them march 1 to april 16th. XC SP's and then the standard Classics. You could get reverse as a factory installed option and save 200 bucks, and electric start and save 250 or so. I didn't feel the need for either because I'm getting a 500 which is pretty light. And with a polaris, you don't need electric start. One pull and you're gone! :)

Seen the RER in action on a polaris classic last weekend, it amazed me how fast the motor stops and reverses it self. This can't be good for the crank, keyway in the flywheel, clutch parts, connecting rods. Motors just aren't made to be reversed in this way. I can see this being use on boats be for to long.

Naaah Cat does not need this RER reverse thing! I invented a levatation idea and Cat is buying it from me. It's called LevRev! You push a button on the dash and the sled rises up (no hidden wires) and turns around the other way. I am gonna be rich!!! LOL

wrong-o d-man. The reverse on the XC's is the same mechanical reverse they had last year, only that it is factory installed and much cheaper. Xtreme has it right, RER (from doo) is only available on the 600 Classic.
