Oh this should be fun. OK Yamaha boys, help me out here. Why Yamaha is so great. Cutting edge technology ie powervalves TPS, DCS, 300Watt system, 700cc domination, digital guages, great ride and handling, 3 year warranty, superior durability and reliability, superior design, most rigid chassis, class leading brake, class leading powerband triple engines, exclusive infinate adjustable hand and thumb warmers, intelligent owners, etc.

Who said they were? I'll come clean and tell you what's not great about them (great, now I'm going to get knocked around from both sides), anyway, here is what I don't like: stock track (YOKO sucks), weight transfer--always has sucked, clutch----always has been a pooch (although this Viper clutch is a different animal and I hope it carries over to the new models).

Having said that, here is why I like Yamaha: They are put together well (those who have seat time on Yamaha and other brands know what I mean), they look awesome, if you like to tune they are very tuneable, very reliable, second to none warranty, the pro-action suspension is good enough but not #1, kick-ass motors and absolutely bullet proof. I'm sure I forgot something but that's just about it.....

Skunk....note that I didn't say they were GREAT.

Hey Drifter,

What is the 300 watt in a Viper? Is that the size of the "under-the -hood" bulb light? Cool idea for night time breakdowns! Who needs a flashlight?

An idea stolen from Ford, I think.

Skunk, if your as big a guy as you have said you are don't waste your time on the Viper, you won't fit.......that's another thing Yamaha isn't good at, if your over 6'2 and have a size 13 shoe than look somewhere else.
