Check your trailer hitch!

Postby OldCatRacer » November 1st, 2001, 9:07 am

Years ago while going to a race in International Falls we saw a white 20 ft enclosed trailer in the ditch. My teamate I raced with said it looked like someone he knew. We got up the road to a gas station and sure enough there they were with their motor home and no trailer. It was snowing real hard and they had been boozing and did'nt even know they lost it till then. LOL It was only yamaha's inside anyway!!!

A few years ago a freind of mine lent his trailer to one of his freinds and the guy had a 1 7/8" ball hitch (trailer is 2") and the guy almost lost the trailer, but the safty chains held on, so it put 2 holes into the tailgate of his S-10 blazer's tailgate. Bottom line is make sure your hitch is compatable to what you're towing.

Sorry to hear your tale of woe Ed, not the way to start a new season. Do you have to trailer to get to good sledding?
