Does it got electric start? If so, chuck it. And the battery. That old 488 fan pulls over so easy, unless it's your 80 year old Grandma riding it, you'll never need it (unless your granny regularily gets into nasty bar fights, etc...) But, if you got a two up sled, why do you need to lighten it up? Or did ya get if for the comfy seat?
I can't think of a good signature so this will have to do for now.

1. take all the accesories of
2. get plastic ski`s
3. take off backrest and hardware
4. lightweight pipe

this should decrease the weight by about 10 to 20 lbs.
snowmobiling is not a sport. It is a way of life.

If your so worried about weight, buy a single touring sled like legend, zl,. If you got a wife buy her one too. I mean when you got a 2 up sled and your worried about weight when ya have a 2 up sled, you have a problem. but if ya want info put a new pipe in lighter more horses. Plastic skis
