Past saturday i call to mine dealer,an had one question! Where? come's intakeair to Viper carbs?

Dealer: From Forced Air Induction canal's!
Old: no!

D: Yes ,I read now manual.
Old: I can read too! Do Y have any Viper there?
D: Yap.
Old: Ok. Walk there,open the Hood ! LOOK and Think!! Look and think!

D: after 5 minut's : Y richt, air flows to secondary (from left) and to brake`s(from rightside)!But really not to Air filter,and carb`s
Old: Yeah I know! Can I take the knive for, open big hole`s
to FAI system?
D: No! I ask from factory?
Old: I'll hope Y can doe That, I can wait few day`s!


Mini side Fissio reactor!
Viper`s intake air come's ower / round hot echaustpipe ,ower /between cylinders, under headlights to airfilter!and carbs!

Warm conditions , bee carefully!

I do wait few days , and thenn I open that canal`s

I do hope, I am wrong,but!!!!!!!!!I don`t think so!
Ltl and other`s ,opinions!!!!

Only few days!!!!!

Air ram induction is a joke. If it was true ram air it would be impossible to jet!

Hey Old Bart! You are right. It is not a true forced air system and it does take air (and powder as Skunk pointed out) and put it on the clutch and brake. We got to looking and Yamaha did originally have something else in mind and it may have been on the prototype, but they decided to not continue putting the ducts on. Who knows why. As for mine, it has already been changed so that the air flows into the air box. I don't think you are going to want to start carving on it though. lol There is a Fresh Air Kit you can purchase if you want. It takes outside air and puts it into the air box, but it is not the 'forced' air.
