my cousin and i are looking to run his 97 formula 500 in a radar run on jan 25 and we were just wondering what kind of mods to the suspension and engine would help us take the 500 stock studded class please reply

You can not do any mods to the engine in the stock class. I would lower the suspension add ice picks if you don't have them already. Maybe get a Erlandson Performance Lake race clutch kit and you will need gearing setup for 1000ft. Where are you running? I am his cousin and i dont have the money right now for a clutch kit, but i would be interested in takeoff techniques if there are any like throwing your weight around and how much or how to lower the front suspension

I am not to familiar with ski doo and the technique to lower the suspension talk to my dad he would be the one to talk to alien is his name on this site. He is our brain and setup man on the whole racing team.

what should we do to lower the front suspension so the skis dont pop up

LOwer the front by tieing straps from the spindles to the bumper. Drill holes in front skid frame limiter straps and rebolt them lower. Make sure the belt and clutches aare inline and properly adjusted. LOssen the track and get the track to spin easy. Make sure ALL bearings are not rough or seized up. One rough bearing can make you lose 2-3 MPH Good Luck
