Riding in Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula!

Postby kmsrentals » January 5th, 2004, 11:00 am

Its been snowing hard for the last 3 days and the trails are sweet!

And for the off-trail riders the pole lines and fields are virgin and fluffy, note that "virgin and fluffy" is a good thing when talking about snow!

If you are interested in coming up and riding or renting just post or email:

tc800, when you heading up? We will be staying outside of Silver City, close to Houghton arriving the 8th.
We called the lodge we are staying at, and they say they picked up about 13 inches over the weekend. LES (Lake Effect Snow)is predicted for the remainder of the week. Forcast totals are any where from 1.5 - 3 feet depending how much moisture gets squeezed out and how close you are to the snowbelt.
Check out this guys web site. http://www.johndee.com/ He is a meteroligist and puts this site up on his own time. Preatty cool! Check out his journal, he has some ride pics from Sunday, that should give you an idea of trail conditions. Things are starting to look good!
