Last night HiMarket received one inch. Down in Boonville just .2 of an inch...Several 4 wheelers seem to have been the only riders on Southern Tug Hill trails... 40% chance of snow today and Wed temps be in the 20's..Thursday cloudy snow "maybe" ...Fri and Sat temps in the 30's and snow unlikely at this point and time. Sunday calling for
rain... but that's a ways off.....wish I had something better to say?

"snow" enough to ride...... I have faith...

1997 and 2000 were both times like this......NOTHING!

The "advisory" hints 3-5 inches on Thursday... don't think it's lake effect off Ontario and the band could go south of the hill- that'd not make anyone happy! The freezing rain that's suppose to follow would make for excellent base headed into the weekend... My sled is pointed toward the trail... hoping its coming!

If you look beyond the weekend the area is forecasted to be in the upper 30 lower 40s, how would that make a good base?? if the temperatures were to stay below frezzing and more snow to follow you are correct sir but otherwise your looking at a couple more weeks till decent riding, unfortunatly

when it hits 40 on the hill you let me know!!!
I'd take a side wager on that one......and base will hold up fine with lower temps in the night.....jeeze If you're from houseville all your life ....I don't need to explain this do I???????????
and thats "IF" the rain stays in the forecast- if you have that figured out- head to the t-stone and make a bundle LOL

Still wondering who you are ? My posts asking about your sled and where you live etc. were unanswered.....heck I'd meet you for a ride if you are in fact a local...beginning to think you're a youngster or someone just coming here to hassle me and my reports.

p.s. BTW freezing rain makes an excellent base is what I suggested.

If you read up on the topic where you actually asked me the uestion you will see that i have replied already, and i have not lived here in houseville my whole life, i just moved up here in October i have been riding the hill for about 10 years now. how will a base hold up if theres not alot of snow and it rains and is in the upper 30s to near 40??? you should know better then anyone else. the rivers and creeks have to be frozen with no snow now how will there be a base at all let alone a good base. and by the way thanks but no thanks i dont want to meet up and ride with you, i have my own crew that i have been riding with for the duration i have been at tug hill.

"QUOTE"-p.s. BTW freezing rain makes an excellent base is what I suggested. (I agree with you on that one, maybe there was a misunderstanding)

Where do you live?? and what kinda sled do you own? how long have you been riding tug hill??

you're probably right Skiduder.......

With nearly 6000 miles in the past couple of years... and a lifetime
in Lewis County I've always welcomed riding with anyone and making new friends isn't what this web site is all about?
