help with antique sled

I just aquired an antique sled. i have no idea who it was made by. it has a kohler 10hp engine, 1 track (chain, with metal cleats, canvas inbetween), two skis, front benchseat and "hood", oh and don't forget the steering wheel. I would like to find some background on this machine but do not know where to start. Thanks

no idea what the hell that is but that is going to be one cool sled. You are pretty lucky to have that old machine

Wow, looks kinda like the 1960 Polaris "Pelican" shown in "SnowGoer" mag. Feb. 2005 Page 45. not for positive, but it looks pretty close to it.
O.K. dumb***, where did you put that wrench?

I have seen 2 or 3 of these at the Waconia Mn show, Last year there were 2 of them racing (at about 10mph) they also had an Ice auger option on the back that runs off the motor. Don't know the brand name.
