I don't clear my hoods, just use enamel... But other than that, yes. On my 77 Moto Ski Super Sonic, I'm going to clear that as it's a nice sled and want it to have nice depth. But I'm not going to clear the decals, they'll go on after.

side note on the rivets, sometimes they end up spinning and u might have to use a grinder of some sort.
