Sounds like a faulty oil injection. Pumping too much oil at WOT. Pull that oil injection, plug the lines and run mix gas.

It should, besides he mentioned unscrewing the caps on top of the carbs when he was installing the throttle cables..

Yamaha, why didn't you add this info to your original question?

'The oil pump died 2 years ago running 40:1 seems ok

I'm not a Citation expert by any means, but how is the oil injection designed? Is there one line or two from the pump? Does the pump lube the crank as well as the intake?

Just trying to help...

sorry never thought of it the pump has just one line and it just
lubes the intake theres a diagram of the pump if you click on the link on the bottom of cory's replys does only having one line matter even though the pump isnt doing anything or is it

if your oil injection is unplugged, then it can't be the culprit. You do have it blocked off at the intake so it can't suck air, I take it! The oil pump is on the recoil on your sled, right? If it all started happening after your tuneup then I'd recheck everything. It could even be a faulty condensor...as cylinder pressure rises your ignition may not be powerful enough to light up the plug.

Could also be in your carb...check and make sure you installed everything correctly. Did you put the e-clip back in it's original position on the needle? I believe yours should be in the second position from the top. Even something as small as a vent tube pinched off could do this........
