zrcat, are you planning on doing it yourself? I wouldn't recommend it, take it to a shop.
Where do you live? I'm in touch with the Harley underworld a bit... let me know where you are and I can see if there is shop worth going to in your neighborhood...
What bike ya got?

JD's dark blue bike is raked a bit with a tank job and some extra's. Big Don's flames is not racked, but it's a perfect example of a bike that is SCREAMING to get racked, it needs it bad.

If you rack it, get a tank right away and drag bars it adds alot to that look. When it comes to tanks, get a good one! There's a lot of crap out there(bad fab jobs).

are you talking about stretching the front fork??? i have made a few chopper bicycles for the hell of it, and i think the longest fork we actually made work was 7.5 feet long.

Kawi, "Raking" a bike refers to increasing the head angle, making the bike longer and the forks laid back

RIGGS, I live in Portland Maine. at this point, I'm raking the forks to lengthen the bike. which will also drop the front of the bike. I have an Arlen Ness Slammer kit which I will use to drop the rear. I won't need to lengthen the fork tubes cuz I'm dropping the bike lower anyways. I'm going 5 degrees on the trees. Anymore than that and I will effect the handling more than I want. The look I'm after is low and long.
The pics look great! You're right, the flame bike needs to be raked a bit. That would make that bike look much sweeter....even a wide glide front end would be nice on it.
