As for fans not being reliable...I have a 98 Sport 440 Polaris. 8000 miles (im a teen, tell me if i dont ride hard) with the only problems being the fuel filter and spark plug caps, and a few torsion springs and rear shocks...I've ran it in -20F temps to nearly 70F without changing anything accept my apparel. To me, they are as reliable as a liquid, if not more.

The sport motor is not the same as a pro x fan motor.98 sport motor is reliable.I`ve got a 92 440 xcr liquid motor with more than twice the miles as your fan.The detuned versions are much more reliable than a race version, but thier faster too.Still no comparison ,the liquid is much better.

I owned a 01 XCF SP and I found it very tempermental to jetting as well. Also, I broke two motor mounts after two seasons on it, no snocross, all trail. Other than that, it has been phenominal. Handles extremely well since it is so light. Has enough power to run with bigger sleds. O and for the guy who says snopro fans are faster, well, thats just his inner cat talkin. Good sled, reccomended, but look it over really well and make sure its in good shape before you buy.
