We currently have 5 races for next season with a 6th still in negotiations. As soon as dates are set, the schedule will be updated. President, Secretary, Treasurer, and 2 board positions will be up for election at Grantsburg
we need to talk too them and then not axpect them to dish out so much money so we can race.
How much should we be asking them to dish out then? Do you have any clue what it costs the IWA and our Racers to put an event on? If it were up to you, how would you accomplish this?

I hope we don't have to be asked to hang up posters. We should ask for posters to hang up. If someone see's a problem with something that they think they can help out with, get a hold of Mike B, Mike D or a board member. They will be happy to hear what you have in mind, and help you out as much as possible.

Remember the IWA is member run. Any body that is a member has a voice, and as long as I have been a part of The IWA has been heard. The more we all can help out the better we will be.

Bobby~ As was discussed many times... we can race anywhere for driver entry fees... you'll probably make pennies by doing that but if you want races we can get you races and make the driver's pay the cost of putting on a race. Look at any other form of racing and see what the payouts are at the end of the weekend... We can increase entry fee's per class and increase membership fee's and have more races for less money... also no year end points, no more IWA paying money towards purses when sites don't make enough (with 50/50 races) to make it worth the driver's time to go to the races like we did last year.

bobby you are puting your foot in your AZZ right now. For one would you want an official who has no clue on our rules and how the iwa is ran? that is why we have a great core of officials that are with us at every race and they care about the IWA. Do you think some one who is supplied by a race site would do there job properly. O and by the way we pay these officials to do there job so they keep coming. Do you think and official would go and work and loose money. You forget that this is also a business too. Do you go to work and then get your paycheck and hand half of it back to your boss and thank him for letting you work for him?

And for the officers who get paid milage and a motel room. These positions keep the IWA going behind the scenes. If you have a issue with how things are done to keep the iwa going then show up at a board meeting or better yet run for a board or officers position.

And as for an announcer : It takes a good announcer to keep the crowd interested when sled are down and getting retreived. The iwa only survives because of the spectators so to reply to your comment on the announcer is that he is worth every penny that he is paid. And for another one of your comments about mike getting paid, that is folish. Mike did his job for free last year and so did his Wife Jen. You need to ask these questions with the respective board and officers before you go on a forum and start posting things that you do not have the facts about. I and the other board members would be happy to answer your questions.

If we did not have a year end points fund do you think that we would have such a good following of drivers. All major forms of racing have a year end points fund. I know were you are coming from and who you are speeking for. You dont need to say his name because your statements tell the story.
