I'd like to John but I've been riding with sleds that have been breaking down alot. I want to keep my trailer close in case it's my turn to be on U Tube. It would be just my luck 200 miles from my truck and I pull a Harold.

All the Polaris meltdowns got ya worried Hawg ? I can't run with ya John, gonna have Rick with me and I definately want the trailer nearby. Got the carbs apart and the exhaust off to get to the stator, but been too damned cold to get out in da garage. Im going with what my good friend Funky recommended.

Don't forget, the stock jetting in a 2004 800 with the J8-9DGN05-57 needle is a 450. If you go up a size from there due to the twin pipes, remember also that the sled will run richer with an open airbox. If you put the airhorns back in, the jets need to go bigger to compensate for the twin pipes. Also, the needle clip starts in the middle, and you can incrementally drop the clip down on the needle before just going to a richer jet. I have a feeling running middle clip with 450's-460's, gutted airbox will be good. I'm sure there will be room for improvement but that vs. what ya had will be so much better you won't care.

LOL at Funky. You getting all technical and stuffnutz. I run mine on the edge and if it held together from the Rat Nats Mackinaw to Gaylord run on Monday it should be good but never overestimate a piece of machinery.

It would be a good run though John and if I didn't plan on beating the snot outta my sled that weekend I would do it.

Dave if you do it the trail runs along I-75. I can pick up the parts ya lose on da trail on my way south. Saves ya from carrying alot of stretchies and tuggies.
